PRP Injection Therapy (Platelet-Rich-Plasma) is a procedure that uses the patients own platelets to promote healing. This is done by drawing blood from the patient. Then the blood will be spun in a centrifuge to separate its contents. Once the plasma is separated it will be removed and injected into the treatment sites. The healing component of plasma is the platelets. Platelets are used in the body to promote blood clotting due to an injury. They also secrete Growth Factor (GF).
