    Benefits of Massage:

Everyone enjoys receiving massages, but did you know of its benefits? Massage not only relieves aches and pains in your joints and muscles, it also helps relieve stress, lowers blood pressure, stretches weak or tight muscles, enhances your immunity and improves the condition of your skin. The best type of massage to receive is different for everybody, depending on your particular needs. Your massage therapist will discuss which massage will be the most beneficial to you.

    Swedish Massage:

A Swedish massage is a light touch massage that uses long, gentle strokes over muscles. The main focus of this modality is to fully relax your muscles and calm down from every day stress.

    Deep Tissue Massage:

This massage uses long strokes as well as deep pressure to specific areas to lengthen muscles and release tension. The main focus of this massage is to release built up stress, tension, and chronic muscle pain.

    Trigger Point Therapy:

This massage uses isolated pressure to release tight areas on specific muscle tissue that can refer pain throughout the body.

    Prenatal Massage:

This massage is for pregnant women who are in their second trimester or are further along. This massage not only helps ease the discomfort that comes with the changes your body goes through during the pregnancy, but also improves circulation and lowers stress hormones. This massage can be performed while lying on your side or on the pregnancy table.

    Aroma Therapy:

Essential oils derived from plants, herbs, and flowers are used to alleviate stress and muscle pain. The oils are absorbed through the skin and help control breathing, heart rate, stress levels, blood pressure, and the immune system.

    Sports Massage:

A sports massage is geared toward athletes and the particular stresses they place on their bodies. Specific techniques are used to help athletes avoid injuries, cool down after exertion, and enhance their overall performance. Sports massages use a variety of techniques such as Swedish Massage, Trigger Point Therapy, and Deep Tissue Massage. Sports Massages will also incorporate stretching in order to help athletes loosen, warm, and prepare their muscles so that their performance and endurance can be enhanced. Following an athletic event, Sports Massage may be used to relieve pain, prevent stiffness, and return the muscles back to their normal state.
